Pool Boy!

We went to the pool with our friend Melissa on Thursday. Koy was entertained the whole time watching kids in the pool. When we took him to try out the water I didn't think he would like it much because it was a little cold at first but he LOVED it! Then there was this little boy that was going to get out and he look at Koy and then said to me, "He only has two teeth" and then he left. I had to laugh because he said it kind of like he was telling me something I didn't already know. We had so much fun and we're so excited we have fun neighbors to hang out with. Thanks Melissa!

He was being grumpy yesterday afternoon so I thought that watching the clothes spin in the dryer would keep him entertained. This is what I found him doing over and over...

Happy 3 Years

Today we have officially been married for 3 years! They say the first year of marriage is the hardest and it wasn't. So we thought maybe the 2nd year would be and again, we struck out. Year number 3 surely would have to hit the marker on the "hardest year" scale but we've got nothin'. Maybe it is because we were made for each other. (Aw.) Pretty much, it's true. When I first met Justin, I thought he was crazy. He told me this story about how he lived in the mountains in Arizona (ha ha) and then how he chased wild horses. Seriously, there are no mountains in Arizona and wilde horses, that's just plain silly. There haven't been wild horses since the days of the indians. Well, I'm dumb. Everything he said was true and he had pictures to prove it. We went on our first date on Jan. 21, 2006 and two days later, there was mention of the "L" word and before the week was over we had talked about rings and married life. I just had to pass the "get ready in 30 minutes" test and the "Justin going home to AZ" test. (Previous girlfriends had been cut loose after Justin went home and if he called me and wanted to see me after he got back, we were good to go.) He's my best friend and everyday he makes me happier than the day before. He's the perfect husband, friend and father and I'm so grateful he's the one I'm spending eternity with! Love you babe!

Primary

Yesterday one of the kids in my CTR 5 class said the craziest thing. I asked if any of them had ever prayed to Heavenly Father for help before and one of the little boys raised his hand and said, "I have! One time I got a scratch and it was bleeding and so I prayed to Heavenly Father and the blood platelets stuck together and the blood dried and it stopped bleeding."

It just shocked me. What 5 year old knows how to use "platelets" in a sentence? He's a smart kid. He also wrote me a note that had a bunch of scrambled letters and at the end it said, "I love my teacher." How tender. I hope Koy turns out this sweet.
