Christmas Past

Well, here is our Christmas post - FINALLY!

We went to Mesa for Christmas with Justin's family and it

was so much fun to take off for a week and see

all of our family.

The first night there we went to a

train park. It was cool.

The line to ride the train was not so cool so we didn't ride the train.

Koy was one excited kid to just see the trains.

This picture doesn't look like much but

it was awesome.

There were SOOO many trains and they

even had tracks for trains to run on above our heads.

Christmas morning was so fun. I totally thought Koy was going

to go crazy when he saw his new train but

he just stared at it and didn't even touch it.

What a nerd.

Justin was disappointed when he found a can in his stocking

instead of something awesome...

Then he realized that the can WAS something awesome.

It was a can of oysters. He loves oysters.

Look at his happy face. :)

Hil got Just Dance (or whatever that game is called)

for the wii and the boys had so much fun.

(So did the girls although it was harder than I thought it was going to be.)

The boys were cracking me up.

We went to the Mesa Temple on Christmas to see the lights.

It was so pretty.

Koy and Colt are quite the buddies.

Koy kept putting the lights in his ears...

We're not sure why.

We were just grateful you couldn't see light coming out his other ear.

I love this little bundle.

Titan isn't diggin' the ride on Koy's saddle.

Colt caught on really quickly of how to ride...

Koy rode on "Ol' Dunny" everyday we were in Eagar.

We had so much fun on our trip and wished we could stay longer. There is just so much to do when we go down there. (I could have personally used an extra week of the sweet weather.) We don't get to see Justin's family nearly enough so it's always fun to be with them.

Hopefully one day I'll catch up on blogging...

Its not everyday...

That your hubby turns 30.

Wow.

It was a fun day.

Justin's gift came a few weeks early

so he really didn't have anything exciting to open.

I ruined dinner.

Garlic mashed potato soup.

It. Was. Not. Good.

Especially because it was supposed to be garlic mashed potatoes- not soup.

Oh well.

He didn't complain because he hasn't set his expectations too high.

He did get some yummy scotcharoos and Koy's eyes watered

because the candles were too bright.

Happy Turkey Lurkey Day

The day of giving thanks was a success.

Mmmm... two thumbs up to my madre's food.

It makes me fat just thinking about it.

But it was a good time and I'm glad to be home...

where it isn't quite as cold and my kids sleep through the night.

We attempted family pics in Randolph but it wasn't a huge success for a few reasons:

A) It was butt cold.

(That probably doesn't make sense b/c when is your butt cold?)

B) Koy is 3 and getting him to pay attention to something for .0000000001 of a second is literally impossible.

C) We do not photograph well. Really. We have practice sessions and pep talks

but still nothing works. Every time we have pictures done, we swear that next time we'll try harder to look normal and it doesn't work.

So kudos to Denise for taking pics of us.

And one last note-

This is Justin's last week in his 20's.

And my funeral is planned for Saturday b/c

he's going to kill me for making that public.

One minute...

One minute Koy's being so nice and sharing a treat

with his little brother.

You take your eye off the kid for one minute

to use the bathroom... or something...

and you come back to find

the little man being pulled around

with "Rapunzel's hair."

Spoooky....

The title of this has nothing really to do with the post.

Halloween was a good one around these parts...

Koy got to spend most of the day with his besties-

Kayden and Morgan.

We went Trick or Treating on Main

and got some goods.

We ran into Bell and her mother-

"Sister Garbanaughty." :)

Went around the "hood" and got a few more goodies

and then hit

Dr. Doug's house for their chili and hot dogs.

So fun. We've never missed a year seeing

Doug and Melody on Halloween...

so that's about the only tradition we've got going on here.

It was a good day though and it was so fun to see Koy actually be excited about it.

We made it to the Pumpkin Walk a couple of times this year.

If you live close to Cache Valley, you need to go.

They usually have some amazing scenes, you get a free cookie

at the end and

the best part is that it's FREE!

The dragon... I mean dinosaur with wings and his

skeleton side-kick.

Every morning for a month Koy would wake up and say,

"It's my birthday!"

So finally, after many days of disappointment, it was his

BIRTHDAY!

Our super hero is 3!

We can't believe it!

We promised that on his birthday we would have balloons for him when he woke up.

He was so excited.

(So were we! Birthdays are fun!)

This pic makes me laugh.

It makes me think of an old man.

He really is talking on the phone to his cousins.

He loves to talk on the phone... and just talk in general.

He wanted to ride a horse for his birthday, so Justin took him for a ride.

I just thought this was cute...

Haley, Wes, Troy, Denise and G'ma and G'pa came for a party.

That was better than gifts

and the ugly cake.

I gave up after I used spray food coloring

on the fondant.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Especially b/c a blue mist was on EVERYTHING

and we blew blue boogers for a week.
