Quirks

I've been Tagged! The Rules are... tell about 7 quirks of yours and then Tag 7 fellow bloggers to do the same, be sure to leave a comment to let them know.

1- I can't sleep if the closet door is open. I thought this was really weird until I started reading other people's quirks and a lot of people have this same issue. . .

2- I HATE the green grammatical lines that Word gives you. This is mainly just an issue at work when I'm issuing contracts and stuff. The spacing is off in some of those documents and I can't print them until they are all gone. Also, the signature lines have to be centered. It throws the whole page off balance if you don't center those lil' buggers.

3- I have to put chapstick on right before bed. I've really been trying to work on this because Justin doesn't believe in chapstick unless your lips are bleeding from every crack and about to fall off of your face.

4- I can't eat a tootsie pop w/out chewing it before I get to the center. It's impossible.

5- If the shower curtain is closed, I have to check and make sure no one is in there everytime I go in the bathroom.

6- I get nervous and can't sleep if the deadbolt AND lock on the handle on the exterior doors are not both locked before I go to bed. Again, Justin doesn't think this is an issue and tends to unlock the lock on the knob if I go upstairs before him. (I hear it everytime buddy!) He figures that we'll hear the person breaking in better if they can turn the knob all the way and still not be able to get in.

7- I have to put lotion on my feet after I get out of the shower and before I go to bed. It just feels good, ok?

It's kinda fun to read about other people's quirks and know that I am not the freak in the world. So I tag Brooke, Britt, Camille (I know Christi tagged you but I don't know if you've done it yet...), Ronda and anyone who feels like they need an exciting post on their blog. :)

32 Weeks!

Hello, hello. We had our 32 week appointment today. Justin is just as healthy as a race-horse. (Except for the ones who die of heart attacks and broken bones at the finish line...) He's so funny. We went in there and did the blood pressure and all the normal check up stuff and I went in the bathroom and came out and he's over putting on the blood-pressure cuff. (I'm starting to get used to him playing with all the gadgets. He gets a little bored...) He was havin' a little bit of trouble so the nurse started laughing and went and helped him out. I was thinking, "Oh goodie. This kid eats like a stick of butter a day and drinks soda, ect, ect... he does shoe horses, but never goes to the gym. His blood pressure is going to suck!" By that time the little machine beeps and the nurse reads his blood pressure and pulse. He's like healthier than... I don't know what but dang, what would it be like? I guess it's a good thing that he's going to learn how to genetically alter genes. Then he can pass these good traits along. Oh, and by the way, the babe is still doing great. I was a little small today so I'm just going to plan on being induced on Oct 14th. It would be cool if he would come on Millie and Logan's birthday though! His birthday would be 10/09/08.

What can I say?

Ok, so this may be a little bit of a retarded post, but Justin thought it was funny so just hang in there. Justin has been going to Randolph to help Brady and my dad hay for the past couple of weeks. All I can say is it gets so boring here without him! By the time Friday rolls around and I know he's coming home, I get so excited! Well, a couple of weeks ago, I was thinking I would be a sweet wife and I would make him some chicken alfredo when he got home, no matter how late it was. It's really not that hard to make from scratch and he had told me a little while back that I was getting really good at cooking. (He probably was hoping that I would take it as such a great compliment that he would never have to cook Sunday dinner again. Sorry, but that just didn't work. I can see right through him and Sunday still will be his designated day for a while.) It's just so hot and I'm so tired by the time I get home from work, we end up having mac and cheese or hamburgers or something easy.  Anyway, so he got home and jumped in the shower and I fired up the stove and went to cooking. We have a gas stove in our new house and it is something I've never experienced before. It's still hard for me to get one of the burners to light without burning the hair off of my arm. (I know it's not hard but I swear, one of the burners is totally retarded.) Anyway, I had even bought a half a loaf of french bread that already had the butter and garlic on it. (It just tastes better when someone else seasons it...) I pulled a chunk off of the end of that baby and put it in the broiler drawer, and went back to stirring away my sauce and noodles. I hurried and set the table and switched over  a batch of clothes, checked the chicken on the grill and few other things and went to stirring the sauce and I could smell something strange. It took me a bit to realize what was burning and by the time I did, it was too late. I opened the broiler drawer and witnessed the devastation. Here is what my face probably looked like:

Yes, the bread was burned... but worse, it was still burning and it was on FIRE! Not even joking. I didn't think bread could burn like that! I hurried and tried to blow it out and it took like 5 tries! It was seriously not going to quit so I grabbed a hot pad and ran it out on the patio. By then, the house was filled with smoke and Justin was getting out of the shower. I heard the water shut off and he yells "fire!" from up stairs. So he came down we blessed the food and went to eating. He hadn't asked what started on fire but I was like, "Oh! I forgot the bread" and went outside and brought in his garlic toast.
Justin said it was delicious. J/k. He just laughed and laughed. I'm such a retard sometimes but it was so burned I think we could have written our names with it on the sidewalk. Oh well. Live and learn, live and learn...

Casino Night at the Hall House

Yes. We went through with our plans to pay our house payment by starting an illegal casino.... kind of. It can get a bit boring at night, so we decided to break out the deck of cards that I bought for us about two years ago. Anyway, the stakes were high seeing as we only had about a half of bag of Starbursts to divide between us. We both took turns being the dealer at Speed (coming soon to casinos everywhere), Blackjack and Poker. It was quite eventful and we played until about 11. However, to sum it all up, I can gladly say Justin was "Royaly Flushed" as he had to receive about four different loans from my Starburst collection totaling about $1,000,000. He was pretty close to winning my whole loot once, but the best gambler prevailed and won it all! Anyone is invited to come and play as long as you bring real money. (Please, no bills smaller than $100.) However, because it is at our house, we still get to use Starbursts.

Pics of the House

Here are pics of the house. It's kind of boring right now but hopefully it'll be cute one day!

Goodbye to the Blue Loo!

So we are sad to say that we no longer have a blue toilet. We moved! My brother and his wife and kids came to help us move into our townhouse about two weeks ago. Weston was so concerned about the blue potty. He was sad that our new house doesn't have one. However, we assured him he could go and visit Bagle and Christi any time and see it. That seemed to calm all his fears of never seeing it again. He's so funny. We are finally getting settled into our new house and we've finally figured out how to keep the upstairs cool so we don't have to crank the AC all night. It's hard to stay cool these days. It's kind of weird to have so much room and more than one closet. I just can't decide where to hang decorations! We finally have room for Gill so now we can start buying baby stuff! Yay! Kim gave us a bunch of cute things and they are already in his drawers so now they aren't so empty. Hopefully we'll make some of the exciting baby purchases now. Gill's pretty excited to have us buy him stuff too. :) It's interesting to have your first homebuyers experience. We are starting to make a list of things to look for next time. The water pressure is horrible here but it's so funny to turn on the sink or something while Justin's in the shower. I didn't mean to turn on the sink downstairs tonight while he was in there and he thought I was doing it on purpose. Sorry, but if it was on purpose I would be dang sure to be in the same room to laugh at him. Anyway, this is kind of boring but we thought we would put some pictures of the new abode on here but it currently is being retarded and won't let us. We'll just have to try again tomorrow. Ta ta!
