and the T.V. ends up on KUED watching some kind of wierd midevil play. I guess I'll just have to take control of the remote from now until the rest of eternity. :) J/k. He didn't mean to put it on something stupid but he wasn't in any hurry to change the channel. Wierd. So I've decided this blogging thing isn't for me. Our life is kind of boring w/the one exception of Koy. He's funny and he's starting to giggle more and more. We took him to his first USU bball game last week. He was such a good baby and he just sat on Justin's lap the whole time. We picked out some good seats where everyone around us was sitting down to watch the game. That is very rare for the student section and about half-way through the first half some girls came and sat in the row in front of us. Well, they decided to stand up and it kind of ticked everyone off that was sitting down behind them. So the first time-out comes and I tapped one of the girls on the shoulder and asked her very nicely to sit down because everyone behind them wanted to sit down to watch the game. Guess what she did? She just turned around and they just kept standing. Justin held Koy over their coats for a second hoping he would spit up on them but it didn't work. We and the rest of the crowed behind us were pretty upset and so people kept yelling at them to sit down and they wouldn't. Grrr.
We went to Randolph this weekend so that Justin could work on his new baby. He sold the Dodge and bought an '82 GMC w/a flat bed. He's been dreaming of this purchase since I can remember. It doesn't run yet but I think he's having a good time fixing that beast up. It's all he thinks about these days and he just gets all giddy and stuff when he gets to go work on it. Oh, well. I personally teared up when the dodge was officially sold. It's almost like he sold all of our memories of dating, our first trip to AZ and all sorts of other stuff and they all belong to some stranger now. Goodness, I don't think he quite understands that when he came to pick me up for our first date and I saw that he drove a dodge, I was his. It melted my heart. J/k. I really was totally excited that he drove a truck and that he wasn't some silly sissy city kid.
My mom accidentally killed Bagle and Christi's fish this weekend. It was so sad and she felt so bad. I just kept telling her it was just a fish and everytime we mentioned it she would well up with tears. Poor lady. I guess she was attached to him or something. We are sorry for your loss Christi and just be glad that it was mom that killed him and not me because I would have just bought a new fish and never told you that I killed him. J/k. I would have just told Brady and had him break the news to you.
Koy will be 3 months this week and he's starting to get on a pretty good schedule. It has taken a while for him to get back on schedule from our trip to AZ but hopefully tonight is a miracle night and he doesn't wake up until 8. . . we can wish, right?

New Pics
On the left are some pictures of Koy that Emily took when he was 6 weeks... pretty cute, huh?
Christmas Vacation
Our Christmas was a little crazy this year and I feel kind of bad that I didn't get one picture of Koy with the Christmas tree but there is always next year... right? We left on the 23rd to go to Randolph and after 1,500 miles, we are officially home. Here are a few highlights from our holiday:
Here are the boots Great G'pa & G'ma South gave Koy. So cute!
This was our last pit stop in Nephi on the way home. Koy was still as smiley as ever. He ended up having a huge blow out after this and let me tell you, it takes true talent to change a diaper in the front seat of a car. Justin was the brave one and held Koy on his lap while I did the dirty work. We got laughing so hard because it's just amazing what such a little guy can manage...
- First of all, it was Koy's first Christmas. He was so excited that he slept through the whole thing.
- We saw all of Koy's great grandparents all on Christmas day. Starting in Randolph, then to Evanston and finally ended up in St. George on Christmas night.
- Koy started laughing. Millie got him giggling pretty hard on Christmas eve. It is SO cute!
- Justin didn't have to eat Oyster Stew again. Sucker. He's too stubborn to even try the stuff. (The first time he tried it a couple of years ago, he dipped a cracker in the broth and almost puked...) I don't blame him. I couldn't bring myself to have any either this year. Question: Why don't we have a Christmas tradition that everyone likes? Answer: Good question...
- We left Christmas day about 11:00 to head to St. George. We tried to miss the huge snow storm but ran into it at Silver Creek Junction. We lost control in the little Civic and if Justin wasn't a Nascar driver in his previous life, we probably would have wrecked. We both said a million prayers and finally made it to Heber safely. We will NEVER travel in a storm again... unless we have 4 wheel drive... hmmm... do I see a new 4-Runner in the future? I WISH!
- Koy has now been traumatized and is not a huge fan of his carseat... after more than 1,500 miles, I don't blame him.
- Hoover Dam is cool... kind of. After waiting in traffic for 1.5 hrs trying to get across the darn thing it looses its luster.
- Road Rage... need I say more?
- I saw my first real Cactus that looked like the one on the Taco Bell sign. It was wierd after I realized I'd never seen one in real life before.
- Congrats to Heidi and Jacob on getting married. We're so happy for you and glad we could be there but Jacob does have one strike against him. Good heavens, I'm the only in-law that didn't grow up in Round Valley or live in Mesa... How could you forget my name?!!
- Mesa would be number 1 on my list to live if it wasn't so hot in the summer. It was so nice to get out of the cold for a few days!
- Colton and his imaginary pet fly, Fido, are always good enternainment. Justin and I are still laughing about how cute that is. Colt is pretty serious about Fido. Don't pretend to eat him or you'll have one upset little boy on your hands.
- We got to see all of Justin's family and almost all of mine. It has been pretty fun. Don't worry G'ma Kim, Koy won't forget you!
- After 1,500 miles, we didn't even have to pay for one hotel room. Thanks Heather and Sam for providing us a place to stay! We appreciate it!
- We stayed in Vegas w/Dan and Chelsee on the way home. Thanks you guys! Camdyn made Koy's bed with blankets and a pillow. It was pretty cute!
- Justin and I didn't used to mind a long drive to Arizona but it's amazing how one little kid can change that. Oh well. It was worth it!
- We got home on Tuesday and Ty, Camille and Kayden came and stayed with us last night. They live in Indiana and we haven't seen them FOREVER! Kayden is such a cutie and I can't wait until Koy can run around with him.
I didn't get many pictures but here are a few:
This is Colt holding Koy... I'm not sure Colt knew what to think.

Two Months!
I'm a little slow posting this but last week was Koy's two month check up. He weighed in at 11lbs 13 oz... exactly four lbs bigger than when he was born.
On the left are his footprints at two weeks and the right are at two months.

Koy at one day old...
Here he is at two months old. . . He's growing so fast!
Justin and I just died when we compared the two pictures with monkey. Koy is so much fun though. He had us laughing so hard during sacrament yesterday. He was just talking up a storm! Overall he is a GREAT baby! He's happy for the most part and he is sleeping so well. He usually sleeps from about 10:30 to 7 or 8 so no complaints here. He is kind of a grizzly bear when he is trying to wake up. It's so funny though because it wears him out to wake up so he usually falls back alseep for a while. Justin taught him some wrestling moves and he's pretty good at them. We told Koy that he couldn't be wrestling unlce Jason and beat him while he's this young. Justin's pretty sure that he could beat Jason but we'll hold off until he's atleast 6 months old. :)

Mr. Mom
Well, Sherrie had to go back to work and Colleen won't relocate and be our full-time nanny, so I have become Mr. Mom, at least for a few days. The real mom will be done next week, and hopefully Koy won't be affected negatively before then. My finals were over on Tuesday, and the last 3 days have been pretty fun. I let my brain recoup after finals, and since Tuesday I've had quite a few random thoughts and had some fun with my boy. This post is dedicated to both fun and thought.
First off, a big shout out to the mighty Cougars from that school to the South. In case you missed it, they beat Utah State in b-ball by 5 points on Saturday at Radiation Station in Salt Lake. Why the neutral site? Funny question. USU lost the nation's best 3-point shooter, have only one Senior this year, and YBU said the only way they would play us this year was if it was in Parvo or at a neutral site. When asked why they were trying to get out of the in-state rivalry they said they needed more quality oponents. USU has beaten YBU 4 out of the last 5 times they've played, yet they need more quality oponents? That reason is a complete lie (suprise suprise). The real reason is that USU coach Stew is 142-12 at home, and YBU knew they couldn't win. There is no way USU loses that game if it's played in the Spectrum, plain and simple. So, gloat if you wish, all you that are "compelled in all things," but next year's game is here in Logan, and a win is a sure thing, well 92% sure thing.
Next random note, also YBU related: They play UofA in the Las Vegas Bowl. There couldn't be a more meaningless game in the history of the world than YBU vs. UofA. I mean, aside from the Cougar faithfull and all the Tusconian/Mini Mexiconian fans, who really cares? I mean, St. Johns could play Snowflake and I would at least know a Redskin to root for. But this game is pointless. So, if I really don't care, or if I dislike YBU so much why am I writing about them? They just annoy the crap out of me. They're all hypocrites and they're all the same. Heck, even Brigham Young said "away with stereotyped 'Mormons.'" Too many testimonies live and die with the success of their teams. Austin Collie, after the lucky win against Utah a year or two ago, said "Obviously, when you're doing what's right on and off the field, I think the Lord steps in and plays a part." What happened this year? Anyway, they all gloat about how great they are and how they are such stand-up guys who choose the right, yet they won't let Jim McMahon into their Hall of Fame. The guy is in the Collegiate Hall of Fame, set 71 NCAA records, yet doesn't portray the image the school wants, so they won't honor him. Sure, they love to tell about how great those teams were, how great Danny Ainge was, bla bla bla, yet neither lived the honor code and both should have been kicked out. Good enough to wear our jerseys, just not good enough for us to recognize them. Well, I've rambled on long enough.
I realize that I applied to, and was accepted to the Y, but saw the light while serving in the mission field. I still maintain, as does the Lord, that "He that is compelled in all things is a slothful and not a wise servant." Am I a hypocrite for wearing a BYU hat in my youth and thinking about going to school there, then turning around and bashing them? Maybe so, but I have repented of my youthful idiosyncracies. There's still time for all you YBU'ers to do the same.
Now I feel better. So yesterday was a big day. Koy and I went to the auction, then to get a Christmas Tree. It's too hard to get a permit in Utah, so we had to go to Idaho. I drove 170 miles total for this tree, and it still isn't the greatest, but it will do. Next year I will keep my eyes peeled whenever I'm in the forest and mark on a GPS unit where and if I find a good one, that way the hunt will be over and I won't have to cut down 4 trees before I decide to take 1 home. The whole process of hunting trees reminded me of the dating process. There's a lot of trees out there that are good from far, but far from good. Just like some of the girls I took out. I also wonder how many marraiges have been put in jeopardy, and/or broken up over the whole tree and Christmas decorating process. My birthday is on Dec. 4th, so my family can't put the tree up until after the 4th. But where it says "My Family" putting up the tree, it should say "I" put up the tree. So basically the rule is that "I" can't put up the tree until after my birthday, that way we don't overlook it. Anyway, the day was fun and Koy has a good eye for cattle. He started raising his hands and fussing everytime a good pen came in the ring. It was pretty fun to have someone with me. I can't wait till he's old enough to really enjoy it. Here's his little cowboy outfit grandma Kimmy sent him, with boots and all. He is a handsome little dude. And that concludes my random thoughts.

This week in pictures...
Here are some pictures from the last week or so. Justin had his birthday and I started back at work. I'm not much of a fan of leaving Koy at home. It kinda just makes my heart ache and my days seem so long because I just want to be home with him. Justin finishes his finals on Tuesday and he's going to hang with Koy while I'm gone. He's pretty excited and rumor has it that he is going to go get our Christmas tree on Wednesday! Woo hoo! We went to Bolt on Friday night. It was pretty cute. I think Justin even enjoyed the portions of it that he saw. He fell asleep. I should have expected it. :) That's about all we've been up to. We're not very interesting so I'll just get to the pictures.

This is a little clip of Koy just sucking his hand. We think almost everything this kid does is just funny. We just love it!
Justin's Birthday.
My boys and their Sunday clothes.
Justin bought this onesie for Koy. It's pretty cute.
Tickle Time! Koy loves it!
